Garrucha

A picturesque seaport with an attractive working harbour, situated next to Mojacar. It is a lively and bustling town with plenty of shops and bars as well as a beautiful palm tree-lined promenade stretching for almost 2kms.

There is an abundance of excellent seafood restaurants along the sea front where you can enjoy the speciality of large red prawns, local to these waters.

The town dates back to the 16th Century when it was founded by a group of fishermen. Today, fishing is still a major part of life in Garrucha and it is definitely worth a visit to the quayside fish market, where the fishermen auction off their daily catch every afternoon.
