Las Almendras is a traditional Spanish farmhouse, with original features like wooden beamed ceilings, old fireplaces, and a traditional bread oven (outside).
Set on the edge of a small hamlet in peaceful hills, the house is ideal for getting away from it all and experiencing real Spain. The area is known for birdwatching, cycling and walking, and the house is only 40 minutes from natural, unspoiled beaches and rocky coves. Visitors may spot deer and chamois, as well as many birds including owls and hoopoes.
The ground floor has a large kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, gas stove and 2 large fridge freezers. The adjoining sitting room has a wood burning stove, and a large garden room, with insect screens for summer dining, opens onto the pool area.
The house has a large dining room seating at least 10, and adjacent comfortable sitting room with large sofas and wood burning stove. There is a cosy central TV room, and a hall lined with books of all kinds, including local guides and history, novels and non-fiction.
Off the hall, there is a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a further hall leads to the ‘garden’ bedroom with stable door, utility space with washing machine, and another bathroom.
Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom (with bath) and two further double bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms. A central games room has a divan bed with pull-out bed suitable for children or young teenagers. A study with a log burning stove opens onto a sunroom with all round countryside views.
Las Almendras has an extensive garden with a 12m x 6m pool, tropical trees, and two vine shaded terraces. The land beyond is planted with almonds and figs, and paths lead up in the surrounding hills.
